The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State has suspended 10 members in Ward 2, Etsako West Local Government Area for alleged anti-party activities.
Those affected are members of the new PDP that defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) with Governor Godwin Obaseki and his deputy, Philip Shaibu.
This came two weeks after the party suspended Dan Orbih, the South-South Vice Chairman for alleged anti-party activities.
Orbih and Governor Obaseki are from the same Oredo ward.
Also suspended along with Orbih was Friday Enaruna, another key stakeholder from the ward.
The letter suspending the members in Ward 2 in Estako West was signed by the Ward Chairman, Suileman Momodu, Secretary, Elamah Abdulganinu and 17 others.
Their offences are said to include “Breaching of the party constitution and manifesto, disobedience and neglect to carry out lawful directive of the party organ and officers of the party.
“Engaging in anti-party activities, engagement in a conduct likely to cause disaffection among members of the party and is likely to distrupt the peaceful, lawful and efficient conduct of the business of the party.
