Twenty-three people have been killed in a Cholera outbreak across some communities in Adamawa State.
Director of Public Health in the state Ministry of Health, Celine Laori, who disclosed this on Tuesday said the fatality was recorded in September.
She said the state has recorded over 500 cases of the disease within the same month.
Laori said the local government areas worst hit by cholera included Yola North, Girei and Lamurde.
She said majority of those affected had been treated and discharged,.
Laori urged people of the state to maintain basic hygiene and sanitation, as well as ensure that food and water to be taken are safe.
