Gunmen on Friday killed Secretary Lau Chiefdom, Lau local government of Taraba State, Abdullahi Aboki.
The gunmen also shot the scribe’s wife, Adama and his three-month-old child, Abubakar who was shot in the leg. The duo were taken to Federal Medical Center Jalingo for treatment.
The spokesperson of Taraba State Police Command, David Misal confirmed the incident
Sources said the gunmen arrived at the house of the 62-year-old scribe about 1am and ordered him to open the door, he refused and raised an alarm, but nobody came to his rescue.
They said the gunmen later forced their way into the house and shot him to death.
A younger brother of the victim, Aminu Kunini said the gunmen were hired killers, because nothing was removed from the house of the victim
