An 16-year-old boy, Abubakar Sulade, has sustained serious injury following a disagreement over grazing land by two families in Sulade village, Kaiama local government area of Kwara State.
The spokesperson of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Kwara State Command, Babawale Zaid Afolabi, disclosed this on Saturday.
He said operatives of the command had launched a manhunt for one Bugi Juli, the alleged assailant.
Afolabi said there has been a long time face-off between two families over a grazing land which took a bloody dimension when one family attacked the other which resulted in serious bodily harm to 16-year-old Abubaka Sulade, who got a deep cut on his hand.
He said Sulade was reportedly attacked by Juli who is still at large.
Afolabi said the victim was undergoing treatment at an hospital in the community, while NSCDC operatives have increased surveillance and patrol in the neighbourhood, to apprehend Juli and bring him to justice.
