The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 3 Division Nigerian Army and Commander Operation SAFE HAVEN, Maj-General Ibrahim Ali, says officers and soldiers of the Armed Forces must embrace digital technology in order to end insecurity in the country.
Ali said this in Jos, Plateau State capital, on Thursday at the sensitisation lecture organised on the use of Digital Emergency Alert and Tracking Application at Headquarters 3 Division Nigerian Army Jos.
The GOC said current security challenges call for the use of technology to overcome them.
A digital transformation expert at the event, Atai Akpan, said the application of technology would be useful against crimes such as kidnapping, banditry and other crimes.
The presentation also featured interactive sessions and practical sessions, where the use of the application was demonstrated to the officers.
