Taraba State Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku has described the late Aku Uka of Wukari, Dr Shekarau Angyu Masa-Ibi, as an iconic monarch to be remembered.
“During the about 45 years reign of the late monarch, Wukari, the new headquarters of the Kwararafa Kingdom, witnessed massive transformation and development, thereby bequeathing a befitting legacy to the people,” the governor said.
Darius was represented by his deputy Engr Haruna Manu at the palace of the late monarch.
Speaker of Taraba State House of Assembly, Joseph Albasu Kunini, who was part of the delegation, also described the late Aku Uka as a legendary monarch of the great Kwararafa Kingdom.
A statement by the speaker’s chief of staff Sukuji Bakoji on Tuesday said the deputy governor and speaker where at the palace of the Aku Uka for condolences on behalf of the state government.
