At least 105 soldiers were killed in the last three months across the country.
This was disclosed by SBM Intelligence, a research organization, on Tuesday.
The report said a total of 2,287 people were killed in various insecurity incidents between July and September 2021.
Bandits have also murdered 961 people between July and September, 2021, in northwest Nigeria.
The fatalities include civilians, security agents, Boko Haram terrorists, kidnappers, robbers, and bandits.
The figures only represents cases reported in news media.
The report said those killed include 1,153 civilians, 675 bandits, 170 Boko Haram members, 23 kidnappers, 67 policemen, 27 cultists, 105 soldiers, 10 vigilante members, 2 immigration officers, 24 armed robbers, 1 customs officer, 1 NSCDC officer and 29 IPOB members.
The North Central has largest fatalities after northwest with 646. while northeast has 336 recorded deaths.
South East has 137, South South 105 and 102 for South West.
The killings were perpetrated by bandits in the north west and north central, Boko Haram in the north east, unknown gunmen in the South East, gang clashes, militia herdsmen in the north central among other causes.
Zamfara, Niger, Kaduna, Katsina and Sokoto, all from the north west, have been battling banditry with all the states taking security measures to tackle the killings and abductions.
