Authors of two very important books on the history of Northern Nigeria were lost within 24 hours.
Prof Ali Danlami [A.D] Yahaya, author of The Native Authority System in Northern Nigeria published in 1980, died in Abuja on Saturday evening, October 2. He was buried the next day according to Islamic rites.
The following morning, Sunday, October 3, Prof Sule Bello, author of the seminal work State and Economy in Kano 1894-1960, published in 2011, died in Kano. He was buried the same day according to Islamic rites.
They are gone but their works live on.
