President Muhammadu Buhari would present the 2022 budget to a joint session of the National Assembly on Thursday.
Deputy Senate President Ovie Omo-Agege announced this on the floor of the senate on Tuesday.
Omo-Agege said the president is seeking changes in the Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) and Fiscal Strategy Paper (FSP).
The changes, the president is seeking, are in line with the newly enacted Petroleum Industry Act (PIA).
The deputy senate president directed the Senate Committee on Finance to effect the changes and report to the plenary on Wednesday.
“The committee should have the report by tomorrow before budget presentation on Thursday,” he said.
House of Representatives Femi Gbajabiamila also announced the budget presentation in the green chamber.
The joint session will be held in the lower legislative chamber.
Buhari is proposing N13.98 trillion for the 2022 budget, but the figure may change after the revised MTEF is approved.
