Factional national chairman of the opposition Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), Professor Sule Bello has died in Kano.
He died on Sunday, according to family sources.
Bello was a professor of History at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State.
He was appointed national chairman of a PRP faction by the late Alhaji Balarabe Musa, after the latter fell out with the party’s National Chairman Malam Falalu Bello, who had earlier succeeded him at a national convention.
The late Bello, an eminent historian and former Director of the National Council for Arts and Culture, was chief executive officer of the African Research and Development Agency (ARADA).
It was gathered that his funeral prayers would be held at his residence at Hotoro GRA by 2pm on Sunday.
