Bandits have abducted the Permanent Secretary of the Niger State Ministry of Transportation, Ibrahim Garba Musa and his son.
21st CENTURY CHRONICLE gathered that Musa was abducted alongside his son Saturday morning in Zungeru area of the state, where he had travelled for a wedding ceremony.
Spokesperson of the state Police Command is yet to issue an official statement on the incident.
However, spokesperson to the State governor, Mary Noel-Berje, confirmed the incident in a statement.
She said the governor had said that the security operatives are capable of curtailing the situation and called for more support by the general public with useful and timely information.
“The governor reassured the people of his administration’s unrelenting efforts to address the insecurity in the state,” she said.
