A mansion belonging to the former Kwara State Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed has been taken over by the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) over a N5 billion debt.
The order for the forfeiture was given by Justice A.M. Liman of the Federal High Court, Lagos division on Wednesday.
Liman also ordered the freezing of the bank accounts of the former governor and his two companies, Trans Properties and Investment Limited and Trans It Consulting Limited.
Ahmed served as Kwara governor from 2011 to 2019.
