A nursing mother and two other people have been kidnapped by bandits along Mallam Audu-Pantisawa road Jalingo, Taraba state capital.
A resident ofJalingo said the incident happened at midnight Sunday.
He told the 21st CENTURY CHRONICLE that the assailants picked up the woman after failing to find her husband who is suspected to be their target.
The resident said the gunmen also abducted a businessman and his brother.
He said the area where the incident happened was known as the kidnappers enclave.
Spokesperson of the state Police command, Usman Abdullahi, is yet to issue a statement on the incident.
