The Federal Government has deployed 300 female soldiers to the Kaduna-Abuja highway to curb incessant cases of kidnapping and banditry.
The Governor of Kaduna state, Nasir El-Rufai, while hosting the first batch of the troops, who are members of the Nigerian Army Women Corps (NAWC), at their Kakau base on the highway, on Wednesday said with the deployment of the female soldiers, the insecurity on the highways would soon be over.
He assured toops of his administration’s support.
