A National Diploma (NDI) student of Auchi Polytechnic, simply identified as Solomon, has committed suicide.
He was 24-years old.
A source inside the school said the student was studying of Public Administration.
He was found dangling from the ceiling of his room on Friday night, the source told 21st CENTURY CHRONICLE.
The deceased reportedly left a suicide note behind.
The deceased instructed that his mobile phone be given to one Sandra whom he begged for forgiveness in the suicide note.
The source said that Sandra was his girlfriend and that they were coursemates.
The deceased was in class on Friday and left for home after class, only came home later in the evening to find him dangling from the ceiling of his room, one of his colleagues said.
The polytechnic spokesperson, Mr Mustapha Oshiobugie, has confirmed the incident, but give no further details.
