A mother and two daughters have been kidnapped by three family members in Pegi, Kuje area council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
A police spokesperson in the FCT, Daniel Ndipaya, confirmed the incident on Monday.
He said the victims were abducted when the gunmen invaded their home in the early hours of Sunday. He added that the command will ensure the release of the victims unhurt.
A resident of the community said assailants pulled down the barbed wire from the fence, broke the windows before gaining entry into the house.
He said the victims’ head of the family, Gabriel Oladapo, a pastor, was out of town when the attack happened.
The residents said the kidnappers have contacted the family of the victims, demanding N50 million as ransom.
