Bandits have released over 70 pupils of Salihu Tanko Islamiyya school in Tegina, Niger State after 88 days in captivity.
Security sources are saying that the students are on their way to Minna from Kagara.
Over N50 million was earlier paid to the bandits as ransom.
But the assailants refused to release the students.
The 156 Islamiyya students were abducted in their school on May 30 when hundreds of bandits stormed the town, killing one person.
In June, their abductors demanded N200 million for their release.
The parents of the students resulted to seeking donations from churches and mosques to raise the money, when they realised the government was not forthcoming to meeting the demand of the bandits.
