The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is using the challenges facing the country to destroy the country, Director General of Voice of Nigeria (VON), Osita Okechukwu, has said.
Okechukwu, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), made the accusation in a statement Sunday in Abuja. He said the opposition party was using the agitations by some Nigerians pushing for the restructuring of the country through unconstitutional means to carry out the plot.
He said “they want to harvest the general insecurity and hunger in the land to deceptively capture power by all means. Otherwise, PDP talks of restructuring without the 1999 Constitution, the national and state assemblies are undemocratic and unconstitutional.”
He said President Muhammadu Buhari has already begun restructuring with the signing of the Executive Order 10 to strengthen the financial autonomy of state legislatures and judiciary.
