Three kidnappers have been arrested by security operatives in Dekina local government area of Kogi State.
A security source told 21st CENTURY CHRONICLE that the incident happened on Wednesday when one kidnapper came into Dekina town and was seen buying large quantity of bread for the gang and their captives.
He said the kidnapper was later trailed to their hideout by security operatives where he was arrested alongside two other members of the gang.
Chairman of the local government, Ishaq Shaibu Okolo, confirmed the development.
He said several weapons and charms were recovered from the kidnappers during the operation.
Okolo said the criminals were in police for further interrogation.
The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Kogi state, Muhammed Onogwu, said the development showed the state’s security architecture was yielding positive result.
