Police in Abuja have arrested three people linked to illegal marketing of the biography of the First Lady, Aisha Buhari.
The book titled “Aisha Buhari – Being Different” and authored by Dr. Hajo Sani, was launched on April 8, 2021 in Abuja.
Dr Sani, Nigerian ambassador to UNESCO, was a Senior Special Assistant on Administration to President Muhammadu Buhari, attached to the First Lady’s office.
The suspects were arrested for illegally selling the book in the market without the author’s consent.
A source in the police told 21st CENTURY CHRONICLE that “Hajo Sani was in her car passing when she saw her book being sold on the street by a vendor without her consent.
“So she acted like she wanted to buy the book. When the vendor was still trying to pass through the traffic to give her the book, she put a call to a security personnel, who later came to apprehend the vendors and took them to Asokoro police station.
“Upon investigation, the police made some arrests on Monday. But the case is still under investigation,” the source said.
