Eleven people have been killed and 21 houses burnt in separate attacks by gunmen on three communities in Agatu local government area of Benue State.
The villages are Odugbeho, Aila and Adagbo.
A security source told 21st CENTURY CHRONICLE that the attacks happened Sunday night.
He said two people were killed in Odugbeho, while nine people were killed in Aila and Adagbo.
The spokesperson of the state Police Command, Catherine Anene, said she hasn’t received reports about the incidents.
However, the Chairman of Agatu local government, Adoyi Sule, confimed the incidents.
He added that the gunmen also set 21 house ablaze during the attacks.
