Thousand of residents have fled Warari community in Rijau Local Government Area of Niger State following bandits attack on Friday.
A resident of the community said the assistants invade the community with over 50 motorcycles, carrying, and shot in the air to scare the villagers, and later looted some shops.
He said many villagers who escaped the attack fled to Rijau town.
21st CENTURY CHRONICLE reports that the local government is one of those affected by banditry in the state.
The state police command is yet to issue official statement on the incident.
