Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has commiserated with the victims of the recent inferno that razed down the Sokoto Central Market.
Through his Twitter handle Thursday afternoon, Atiku expressed his solidarity with the shop owners affected by the fire.
He said “this tragic incidence will further exacerbate the material conditions of a people already grappling with the twin effects of economic meltdown and COVID 19.”
Atiku advised people to be careful of their environment and not do anything that could cause fire outbreaks, and prayed to Allah to protect and prevent future occurrence.
