A Kano State High Court has reserved ruling in a bribery, corruption and misappropriation suit filed against the National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress(APC) and former Kano state Governor Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, his wife Hafsat Ganduje and seven others.
Counsel to Ganduje, wife and his son Umar, Offiong Offiong SAN, filed an application for extension of time, urging the court to grant the application.
However, prosecution counsel Adeola Adedipe, SAN said he filed a reply to the notice of preliminary objection dated Oct. 22, 2024, urging the court to dismiss the respondents’ application.
Similarly, Counsel to the 3rd and 7th defendant, Mr Adekunle Taiye-Falola, moved a preliminary objection motion dated Oct.18, 2024, supported by a 14 paragraph affidavit and a written address.
Meanwhile, Sanusi Musa SAN.who appeared for the 5th defendant also moved his motion on notice on preliminary objection dated Oct.18, 2024 supported by an affidavit, exhibit and a written address, urging the court to grant his application with substantial cost against the prosecution.
The presiding judge, Justice Amina Adamu-Aliyu adjourned the matter for ruling on the notices of preliminary objection to a date to be communicated to the parties.
Abubakar Bawuro, Umar Abdullahi Umar, Jibrilla Muhammad, Lamash properties Limited,Safari Textiles Limited and Lasage General Enterprises Limited are the other defendants in the matter.
