Maj. Gen. Muhammad Inuwa Idris (Rtd).
has resigned as Kano State Commissioner of Internal Security and Special Services.
No reason was given for the sudden resignation of the retired general from the post.
The resignation was announced by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s spokesperson Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, in a statement on Tuesday.
He said his tenure, though brief, has been credited with laying a solid foundation for the ministry’ take-off which the governor believes that his successor can build on to set a pace for operations of the new ministry.
The governor expressed his deep gratitude to the retired Army General for his service to the state within his short tenure, acknowledging his contributions to initial take-off of the ministry.
