A family in Zakirai village of Gabasawa local government area of Kano state has been attacked by suspected gunmen in the early hours of Sunday.
Sources in the area revealed that a 20-year-old was kidnapped while another was injured as one of his fingers was reported to have been chopped- off
It was gathered that the attack occurred at about 2:15 a.m. when three armed hoodlums wielding rifles and machetes stormed the residence of Alhaji Yusha’u Ma’aruf.
It was also gathered that during the attack, the gunmen had cut-off the left finger of his 23-year-old son, Abubakar Yusha’u, and abducted another son, Mohammed Bello Yusha’u, 20.
The gunmen also stole mobile phones and an undisclosed sum of money before fleeing the scene.
However, the Kano state PPRO Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa confirmed the incident adding that the command had since launched and investigation into the matter
