Nigeria Air Force personnel from NAF Base in Ikeja, Lagos have stormed the DisCo office in Ikeja beating the staff and other people sighted.
For over one and a half hours, they barricaded roads leading to the office giving the military men a field day to physically assault those within the premises.
The officers who were at the office following the disconnection of their military base, took away engineers and drivers who they said would be forced to reconnect their barracks.
Journalists who were in the DisCo office to cover a separate event fell victims to the NAF personnel.
One of them, Dare Olawin of the PUNCH and a TVC cameraman and one other reporter were assaulted and forced to sit on the floor.
The military seized the PUNCH reporter’s Android phone, a small Itel phone and a white power bank and threatened to shoot him if he tried to say anything.
