The Lagos State governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 general election, Abdul-Azeez Adediran, has quit the party.
Adediran also known as Jandor denounced his PDP membership in Lagos on Monday, attributing his decision to indiscipline and anti-party activities, which, he said, are the norms in his erstwhile party.
He said he was leaving the PDP due to actions of some of the party’s leaders, including the former Deputy National Chairman, Chief Olabode George, whom he said actively worked against the PDP in the 2023 elections.
Jandor is yet to decide which party to join, saying “we will consult widely with everybody and then take the decision to collapse our structure to another platform. What is the majority on the ground now is that we have left the Peoples Democratic Party.”
