The suspended Olorile of Orile Ifo, Semiu Adewale Ogunjobi, Tuesday appeared in court to answer charges of conspiracy, assault and conduct likely to cause breach of peace.
Nigeria Police Force spokesperson, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, who stated this in a statement on Tuesday, said the Ogun State Command arraigned the monarch accused of assaulting 73-year-old Chief Abraham Areola.
Adejobi said, “He was granted bail while the case was adjourned to 06/03/2025,” but added that justice would be served on the matter.
“The police will continue to uphold the rule of law and the core values of the noble profession,” Adejobi said.
