Justice Salisu Umar of the Kogi State High Court in Lokoja has deposed the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland Alhaji Ahmed Muhammed Tajani Anaje.
Justice Umar who gave the order on Monday, also ordered Anaje to stop parading as the paramount traditional ruler of Ebiraland.
Dr. Barnabas Adeku Ojiah and two others in a case, numbered HCO/05C/2024, sued the Governor of Kogi State and Anaje, challenging the legality of Anaje’s appointment.
They alleged that there were irregularities in the process that led to the emergence of Anaje as the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland.
Anaje was appointed to the position by former Governor Yahaya Bello in January 2024 from a list of 72 aspirants including one woman who contested the stool.
