The Management of Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital (AKTH) has denied recent allegations of misconduct labelled against some of its doctors during one of the recent Berekete Family Arewa program.
The denial was contained in a statement issued and signed by the hospital’s Chief Information Officer Maryam Aminu Usman. According to the statement, the allegation based on the initial findings is nothing but false.
“Based on our initial findings the accusation is categorically false, but the hospital will investigate further with utmost urgency and in accordance with established procedures to fully explore all avenues. The Hospital has a strict code of conduct for all its healthcare professionals and any action that contradict these standards will be addressed promptly and transparently,” it said.
The statement added that AKTH is dedicated to ensuring the safety, dignity, and well-being of its patients and as such, the hospital is committed to conducting a thorough, impartial investigation into the claims.
The statement also advised Journalists to always investigate issues thoroughly before broadcasting or going to the press adding that hospital had always solicit for patience and understanding from the public as it work through the investigation process, as further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
