A special adviser to Kano State governor on works, Engr. Ahmad Ishaq Bunkure, is dead.
He died a day after he was sworn-in as adviser on works to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
The news of his death was disclosed in a statement issued by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, on Wednesday.
The statement said, governor Yusuf has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the newly appointed aide who died today in Egypt.
In his condolence message, Governor Yusuf described the death of Engr. Bunkure was a tragic and irreplaceable loss to Kano State, his family, and the wider political community.
He prayed for Allah’s mercy on the deceased and strength for his family to bear the painful loss.
“This is a heartbreaking moment for us as a government. Engr. Bunkure was a dedicated professional whose expertise and contributions were expected to drive our administration’s vision for development. His loss is deeply felt,” the governor said.
Late Engr. Bunkure had only been appointed as Special Adviser on Works last Monday, making his sudden death a shock to many.
