The Founder and President of MAAUN Group of Universities, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, has won the ‘2024 Edupreneur of the Year’ award in New Delhi, India.
The award was extended by the International Academic and Management Association (IAMA) India.
Professor Gwarzo, who carved a niche for himself as the first African to establish four universities, was honored for his outstanding contributions to the education sector.
IAMA, based in Delhi, India, is a private, not-for-profit professional organization that operates on the principle that recognizes education as a fundamental right for all.
The organization advocates for qualitative, affordable, inclusive, borderless, and industry-centric education, which is in tandem with Prof. Gwarzo’s vision.
The presentation of the award was held on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 during the 3rd edition of the World Education and Business Conclave and Awards 2024.
The MAAUN founder was represented at the occasion by the President of Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria, Professor Mohammad Israr.
The decision by the IAMA to honor Prof. Gwarzo was also in recognition of his unwavering commitment to empowering the youth to actualize their dreams through acquisition of sound and functional education.
The award will inspire Prof. Gwarzo to further his efforts in promoting global education and ensure that the MAAUN Group of universities continues to deliver quality education for the development of mankind.
