The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has recorded 1,617 new cases of the Coronavirus in the country.
The new infections have taken the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 112,004, which includes 89,939 discharged cases and 1,449 deaths.
The NCDC disclosed this on its twitter page on Monday.
The new cases were registered from 18 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in the past 24 hours, according to the public health agency.
Nigeria has tested 1,172,234 people since the first confirmed case of COVID-19 was recorded on February 27, 2020.
