A journalist with the Foundation for Investigative Journalism (FIJ), Fisayo Soyombo, has been arrested by the 6 Division of the Nigerian Army in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
FIJ disclosed this via X on Friday morning, adding that Soyombo was arrested three days ago.
“The 6 Division of the Nigerian Army in Port Harcourt has been detaining our founder Fisayo Soyombo for 3 days running. Journalism is not a crime,” FIJ said.
The Army was yet to make a formal statement on the arrest of the journalist.
