The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has appointed Alhaji Nasiru Haladu Danu and Mahmood Halilu Ahmed (Modi) as chairman and member of its new Media and Publicity Committee.
Mr Danu is a closed political associate of former President Muhammadu Buhari, while Mahmood, popularly known as Modi was Buhari’s personal assistant and brother of Aisha Buhari, the former First Lady.
Mr Danu holds the traditional titles of Sardaunan Dutse and Tafida Babba Daura, while Modi is Sarkin Gabas of Adamawa.
The appointments were made during the committee’s inauguration by the Chairman of the ACF Board of Trustees, Dr. Bashir Dalhatu.
Other members of the committee include Senator Binta Masi Garba, Muhammad Abubakar Kudu, Dr Ishaq Modibbo Kawu, and Alhaji Tijjani Ramalan.
Also, top musicians like Zakky Adzay and Aminu Ala will contribute their creative talents, along with Abdullahi O. Haruna (Haruspice), according to reports by PRNigetia.
The media committee aims to promote the socio-economic advancement of Northern Nigeria.
Mr Danu is committed to leveraging the committee’s resources to ensure an accurate and positive narrative for the North, while fostering stability throughout the region and the nation at large.
