The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) on Monday says it killed 30 bandits during an operation that was executed by its special forces personnel at Maje River line near Yar Katsina in Bungudu Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
NAF’s Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Vice Marshall Ibikunle Daramola, said in a statement on Monday that the NAF also lost a special forces personnel, Aircraftman Sunday Enwa , during the ground operation. He said three other personnel were also wounded.
Daramola said troops of Forward Operating Bases (FOBs) at Kekuwuje, Kwatarkwashi and Maru, in Zamfara state, which comprised mostly of the NAF Special Forces personnel, were mobilized in response to report about bandits movement along Kekuwuje-Yar Katsina road.
