Boko Haram fighters have again attacked Kanamma, headquarters of Yunusari local government area of Yobe State.
Kanamma, a town about 10 kilometers to Niger Republic, was the birthplace of the Boko Haram group.
The attack came six days after the terrorists invaded the town, killed some civilians and carted away food items.
The insurgents had recently attacked Gaidam, the headquarters of Geidam local government area, held it for more than 72 hours, and hoisted their flag.
Sources said the insurgents in their latest attack on Kanamma burnt down the house of the village head, local government chairman and other government structures, in the latest attack.
Residents said the terrorists invaded the town on Sunday, shot sporadically and set houses ablaze.
They said the insurgents also destroyed some shops and carted away food items.
