The Kuje Correctional Facility has freed a former House of Representatives member, Farouk Lawan from prison after serving five years in jail.
Lawan was set free on Tuesday morning.
Justice Angela Otaluka of the FCT High Court sentenced Lawan on all three count charges the ICPC preferred against him.
The former lawmaker who chaired the House of Reps probe panel on oil subsidy regime, was jailed seven years for receiving a $3 million bribe from business mogul Femi Otedola.
The Judge ordered him to refund $500.000 dollars to the federal government.
