Over 30,000 vulnerable households in Katsina state have benefitted from the palliatives provided by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) to cushion the effect of COVID-19 in the state.
Speaker of the Katsina State House of Assembly, Tasiu Musa Maigari, disclosed this on Thursday at the launching of the fifth phase of Covid-19 palliatives in Malumfashi local government area.
He said the palliatives were provided by the National Emergency Management Agency and victims support groups under TY Danjuma Foundation.
Maigari commended the distribution committee for doing “a well job”, and urged them to maintain the tempo.
The Permanent Secretary office of the Deputy Governor, Aminu Abu Bazariye, said anither 30,000 households will benefit from the fifth phase of the exercise.
He maintained that only the most vulnerable households that will be drawn from polling units across the state, will benefit from the palliatives
