The Nile University of Nigeria on Wednesday hosted its Governing Council members to a Ramadan Iftar at the Senate Room of the university in Abuja.
Cardinal John Onaiyekan was the special guest of honor at the occasion.
The Iftar dinner was intended to appreciate the Governing Council members while strengthening the bond of friendship, and share the blessings of Ramadan while providing an opportunity for collective prayers, the university said.
Members of the Nile University Governing Council that attended the iftar included Dr Hajo Sani, representative of Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Rev. Sr. Agatha O. Chikelue, Ambassador Usman Baraya, and Senator Osita B. Izunaso.
Others are the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Osman Nuri Aras, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academics, Prof. Abdurrahman Isik, the Registrar, Mr. Yasar Aktekin, and the Director of Academic Planning (DAP), Prof. Saleh Abdullahi.
