The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) on Wednesday distributed the relief items donated by King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre, Saudi Arabia, to 8,725 households in the seven Internally Displaced Persons (IDPS) camps and host communities in Zamfara State.
Each household, according to NEMA information officer in the state, Aliyu Mohammed, were handed a food package of 59.8kg, consisting of a 25kg bag of rice, 25kg bag of beans, and 9.8kg package of condiments.
He said the food support would also be extended to fresh displaced victims of bandits attacks in the state, “who kept on trooping to the state capital and other neighboring environs to take solace.”
