Mob on Tuesday burnt down a divisional police station and three patrol vans in Kware local government area of the state.
Spokesman of the command, Abubakar Sanusi, said the incident happened after the mob came to the station demanding the release of two suspected kidnappers, who were earlier arrested and being investigated for their alleged involvement in kidnapping in the area.
He said the mob, mostly youths, came to the station shouting and insisting that the two suspects should be released.
Sanusi said the mob overpowered the operatives guarding the station and burnt it down along with two patrol vans and a car belonging to the Divisional Police Officer (DPO).
He said the mob succeeded in killing one of the suspects and wounded the other.
Sanusi, however, said no arrest had been made but an investigation was ongoing.
