The Akwa Ibom Commissioner of Police, Waheed Ayilara, is dead.
He died Thursday morning at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja.
The police chief died after undergoing a prostate cancer surgery on Wednesday, it was learned.
A family source told The Nation that, ”We are very sad to inform you that our friend, brother and family, the Commissioner of Police for Akwa Ibom State, Waheed Ayilara is dead.”
