Gunmen have killed six people during attacks on some communities in Sabuwa local government area of Katsina state.
A member representing Sabuwa LGA at the Katsina State House of Assembly, Ibrahim Danjuma Machika, has confirmed the attack to our reporter.
Machika said the bandits “surely attacked and killed six people.”
Sources told 21st CENTURY CHRONICLE that the attacks were carried Sunday night and early Monday morning.
The communities attacked include Sayau Malamai, Sayau Maikasuwa, Unguwar Nakaba all in Sayau ward of Sabuwa.
Local sources said the gunmen attacked some of the communities around 3:00am.
The Katsina Police Command, however, said only three people were killed.
The command spokesperson, SP Gambo Isa, said in a message to our reporter that: “Five people were shot and taken to the hospital. But later three died in the hospital.”
