The former Secretary to the State Government and Commissioner for Higher Education in Sokoto state, Professor Bashir Garba, has been appointed the new Vice Chancellor of the Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto.
Garba is still the Vice Chancellor of the Sokoto State University.
His appointment was contained in a statement signed by the Pro-Chancellor of the University, Professor Attahiru Jega.
Professor Garba was the staff of Danfodiyo university before he released to the Sokoto state on leave of absent.
He held several positions in the state, including the Secretary to the State Government, Commissioner, Higher Education and Rector, Umaru Ali Shinkafi Polytechnic before being appointed as the Vice Chancellor of the Sokoto state University.
