The management of Dangote petroleum refinery says it has not fixed the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), popularly called petrol.
The Group’s Chief Branding and Communications Officer, Anthony Chiejina, made this known in a statement on Tuesday while reacting to a report with the headline “Marketers Project N600/litre for Dangote Petrol”.
Dealers under the aegis of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) said they were hopeful that the Dangote refinery would crash the price of petrol as it did with diesel.
However, Dangote refinery stated that it does not have any business deal with IPMAN and has never discussed the price of petrol with the oil marketers.
It, therefore, asked Nigerians and the general public to disregard the announcement, describing it as speculative.
