Gunmen have kidnapped the caretaker chairman of the Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State, Zacchaeus Michael.
This was revealed by the spokesperson of the Kogi Police Command, William Aya, on Saturday.
Mr Aya said the caretaker chairman was kidnapped on Friday night along Kabba-Okene Road in the Kabba area of the state.
Mr Aya said: “Yes, I got the information. The state Commissioner of Police, Bethrand Onuoha, has already deployed officers for a search-and-rescue mission. We are on top of the situation.”
The LG chief was abducted alongside some of his aides, it was learned.
