Leaders at subnational level in Nigeria should derive inspiration from the successes of one another in different sectors of the economy to promote all-round national development.
Governor Ododo made these remarks at the commissioning of the remodeled Taraba State Governor’s lodge also known as TY Danjuma House in Asokoro, Abuja on Friday.
To this end, he solicited the support of eminent Nigerians for his agenda to transform Kogi state into a frontline state reputed for industrialisation in Nigeria.
A statement by his spokesperson, Ismail Isah, said Governor Ododo expressed his determination to provide purposeful leadership for the people of the state.
The statement said Governor Ododo also briefed former Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon, former National Security Adviser, General Aliyu Gusau and General TY Danjuma in whose honour the Taraba State Governor’s lodge was named.
According to the spokesperson, the Governor used the occasion to interact with his Adamawa and Plateau state counterparts, Governors Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa and Caleb Mutfwang respectively who also attended the occasion.
He said Governor Ododo praised his Taraba State counterpart Agbu Kefas for remodeling the state governor’s lodge in Abuja into a new edifice as well as his policies and programmes
Geared towards developing the state.
