President Tinubu is expected to send a supplementary budget of N6.6 trillion for the 2024 appropriation to the Senate in July.
Senate spokesperson, Yemi Adaramodu, who disclosed this, also said the N6.6 trillion supplementary budget was still being computed by the executive.
According to him, it would be sent to the National Assembly after its July 2 resumption.
Adaramodu said the supplementary budget would provide funding for identified transformational projects, including Lagos-Calabar, Coastal Road; proposed Sokoto-Badagry Road; completion of all ongoing railway projects, which had not been provided counterpart funding.
He w quoted in a report by PUNCH to have also sid the budget would also fund the rehabilitation and expansion of dams and irrigation schemes to support increased production within the economy.
